Mrs. Patrick Canfield was thrown from her carriage last Wednesday night and quite seriously injured. In company with her son Michael Canfield and her daughter Mrs. Henry Valley and two children, they were driving to their camp down the St. Lawrence, when the horse became frightened and ran away. Mrs. Canfield was the only one injured, her arm being broken, her scalp lacerated and a blow on the head that rendered her unconscious for hours.
