In the name of God amen the 27th day of October in the year of God 1704
I JAMES RINGGOLD upon Kent in Talbot County Gent.
- I give and bequeath unto Mary Ringgold my Dearly beloved wife whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my sole executive of this my last will and testament the one full and equal third part of all and singular my personal estate of goods chattels and movables to her and her heirs forever together with the full and equal one third part of all and singular my real estate of land for and during the space of her natural life.
- I give and bequeath the whole remaining two thirds parts of my whole real estate of same bequeathed my dearly beloved wife during her natural life as of (but that one third part only after her death) to be justly and equally divided betwixt my three children viz. Moses Mary and James Ringgold and I do hereby will and ordain that my whole estate both real and personal shall be and remain in the custody and possession of my said dearly beloved wife by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed the one third part of real estate of land during her natural life as and the other one third o the personal estate of goods and movables to her forever and the remaining two thirds of both real and personal estate with all the profits improvements prerequisites thereunto belonging or that hereafter may thereunto belong or appertain from and after my death ever and until my said wife/children come of age as per act of parliament or until they be married either of which times shall happen and that my said children during the said space of time and lastly I do appoint and ordain that after the determination of the said minority said three children enter in the possession of my said estate both real and personal to them hereby given and bequeathed likewise I do hereby give and bequeath the same to them and their heirs of their body lawfully begotten forever and do hereby utterly disavow revoke and dis-annul all and every other former testament wills legacies and bequeaths and benefits by me in any way heretofore named ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament in witness hereof I have here unto setting hand seal the day and year first above written.
