Mrs. Estella B. Doughman, 72, of 1719 Maiden Lane, mother of Luther B. Doughman who retired Monday as inspector in the Springfield Police Division, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday in Mercy Hospital. Her death followed an extended illness, although her condition had been critical only the last 10 days. A member of the First Church of God, Mrs. Doughman was a native of Illinois. She was born Oct. 6, 1885, a daughter of Charles and Martha Argabright Nawman. Surviving besides Mrs. Doughman's husband Clifford, and son, Luther, are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sellers of Stanwood, Mich., and Mrs. Verda Pence of St. Paris; a brother, Rollie Nawman of Oakland, Calif., nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Littleton funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Church of God, the Rev. Harold Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state in the church an hour before services.
