Richard C. Burks, 72, of 1739 Brookhollow, died at 5:08 PM Thursday, June 2, 1988 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born on November 24, 1915 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Clark and Goldie (CIRCLE) BURKS. He was employed as a traffic manager with SPECO, a division of Kelsey Hayes Corporation, for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member and former deacon of the Covenant Presbyterian Church and served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War 2. He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. (DOWNEY) BURKS; three daughters, Mrs. Sally FIGLER of Dayton, Tobie Dianne BURKS and Wendy Christine BURKS, both of Springfield. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, in the Covenant Presbyterian Church under the direction of Rev. Thomas R. Stout. The family requests that contributions be made to the Cancer Society or to your favorite charity. Arrangements are being handled by the Jackson, Lytle & Coffman Funeral Home, Springfield.
