• Notes

  1903 the family moved to Faulkner community where he attended Prairie School. As a young man he returned to Kansas to work in the oil fields near Eldorado, Kansas. Married he farmed northwest of Alva until moving into Alva, Oklahoma in 1929. He worded as a mechanic then for the street department and was elected street commissioner in 1937. Ten years later he resigned to work for Cities Service Pipeline and was transferred to Knob Noster, Missouri in 1950. After his retirement in 1965 they returned to Alva, Oklahoma.
