In the 1880 Franklin County, Kansas Census, David and his wife reside in Ohio Twp. where David is a farmer. In the 1900 Franklin County, Kansas Census, David and Ellen and their children reside in Ottawa Twp. David is a groceryman. Both of his parents are identified as being born in Pennsylvania. In the Franklin County, Kansas probate Records, there is an entry for David B, Mathias, Packet #3671. The informant on his death certificate was Mrs. Alice Leaona Shiveman of Angentine, Kansas.
