Edna Rosalie ?Lorny? Johnson, age 82, of Dassel, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Dassel Lakeside Community Home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1923 in Main Prairie, Minn., the daughter of Roy and Violet (Pratt) Newman. She lived in Main Prairie until she moved to Kimball in 1933, where she graduated from Kimball High School in 1942.
After graduation, Edna moved to Litchfield and continued her education at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital.
Edna married Lawrence N. Johnson Jan. 21, 1950.
She was employed at Meeker County Memorial Hospital as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) until 1987, when she retired.
In 1994, Edna moved to Dassel.
She was member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel.
Edna is survived by her children, Lawrence ?Larry? (and Anita) Johnson of Rochester, and Judy (and Jason) Randt of Dassel; and grandchildren Steven Clasemann, Nicholas Clasemann, Deryk Randt, Lindsey Randt, Mark Johnson, and Kristi Johnson; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lawrence.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel with the Rev. Keith Carlson officiating. Interment was in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, and continued Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements were by the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
